	The first scheduled negotiating session is scheduled for July 18, 2007. Our attorney has submitted our proposal and we look forward to meeting with the ADNY on the 18th.
	The winners of the Mary Apa Scholarship Award are: Gabriella Lombardo (Cardinal Spellman H.S.) Rebecca Lyons (Our Lady of Lourdes H.S.) Biancanicole Eckoff (Maria Regina H.S.) Steven Fiorenza (Cardinal Spellman H.S.) This award is given annually to a H.S. senior, the son or daughter of a LFA member, in recognition of their academic excellence and personal achievement. On behalf of the members of the LFA we congratulate them and wish them well in college.
	"ALL FACULTY SHOULD BE AWARE THAT SOME STUDENTS ARE TAKING LIVE VIDEO OF THEM AND AND RECORDING THEM IN THE CLASS ROOM WITH THEIR CELL PHONES. THE VIDEO AND RECORDINGS ARE BEING PLACED ON THE WEB IN SITES SUCH AS MYSPACE.COM. IN SOME CASES STUDENTS ARE ATTEMPTING TO PROVOKE CERTAIN REACTIONS FROM TEACHERS WHILE ANOTHER STUDENT RECORDS THEM. On Mar. 3rd a meeting with delegates, council members, and members was convened to hear suggestions and develop ideas for our upcoming contract negotiations. Our contract expires on Aug. 31, 2007.
